Andreas Nehring was invited to spend some time at the Université de Quebec (UQAM) in Montréal (Canada) as a guest researcher.
At the Research Centre for Didactics in Science and Technology (L'Équipe de Recherche en Éducation Scientifique et Technologique; EREST) there. Against this background, research and teaching materials of the IDN on scientific thinking in competence-oriented teaching were presented and implications for teacher training were discussed. As in Germany, competency-based educational standards have been formulated in Quebec, and their implementation in schools poses challenges for teachers, especially in planning lessons.
We are looking forward to the upcoming opportunities for cooperation across national borders.
