Vom 5. Bis 7. Juli 2023 fand die IGU-CGE International Conference an der University of Oxford am Department of Education statt. Das diesjährige Thema der Konferenz lautete: „Geography Education for the Anthropocene” und widmete sich der Rolle des Geographieunterrichts bei der Gestaltung einer nachhaltigeren und gerechteren Zukunft. Seitens des IDN nahmen Prof. Dr. Christiane Meyer, Lara Brede, Jonas Koch, Tomke van Hove und Lydia Heilen an der Konferenz teil und stellten in den folgenden drei Vorträgen erste Ergebnisse aktueller Forschungsvorhaben der Geographiedidaktik vor:
